The film Lola Rennt came off as very strange and quite funny at first. The premise behind the movie of subtle changes effecting the final outcome is very intriguing. Through the first part of the film I was laughing at  the amount of times " die tasche " was said and confused to why there was randomly an animated bit of her running down stairs. However, by the third time we see Lola's  mad dash to save Manni I was on the edge of my seat trying to see what little differences drastically changed the end of her journey. What may have seemed like small changes such as the way the animated Lola ran down the stairs or the different times the guy tried to sell his bike actually make a large difference in the end. The three endings make for a great twist for the viewers. Seeing Lola be shot, Manni get hit by an ambulance, and then finally the two getting a happy ending makes for three different viewing experiences. I would recommend this movie to a friend because it keeps you engaged and guessing until the very end. The overall effect of showing different outcomes because of a small difference was very interesting to me. I have had a great interest in the Butterfly Effect, which is very similar to the point of the movie. What I really enjoyed about this film was picking up little bits of German that we had learned. I really thought it was good to see the translation and also hear the language being spoken.
