The Euro

The Euro is the official currency of seventeen nations. It was introduced in two different stages. It started out as a cash less form of payment, then was in physical form in 2002. The European Union decided to use the Euro to make it easier to travel. Not everyone in the European Union uses the Euro. Denmark and the United Kingdom decided to not use the Euro as their currency. Many places that are outside the European Union use the Euro and it is sometimes used as a trading currency.
